it totally ignores heat cycling (annealing) the freshly machined parts, but I still believe that the points that it makes are incorrect. Running a motorcycle or lawnmover wide open is far different from running a car wide open. I remember vividly a topic on car talk when a guy used his freshly rebuilt truck to pull a boat 1000 miles and couldn't figure out why he was burning a quart of oil every 300 miles. Running it on a dyno is different - the load on the car is very different than running it on the street. And then you throw turbos into the mix. I asked kyle about this when he rebuilt my engine - he said 500 miles no boost, then easy boost to 1000 miles, then boost until your heart is content. Worked great for me.
